JASLEEN SHNIDER

Hi, my name is Jasleen Shnider, and I’m honoured to serve as the Chapter President of Alpha Gamma Delta this year.

When I went through Recruitment, I had no idea how much Alpha Gam would come to mean to me. I was looking for a community, but I found so much more. From the very first conversations, I felt a genuine connection. The laughs I shared during Recruitment have continued ever since, and the friendships I’ve built here have truly shaped my university experience.

The women of Alpha Gam embody balance and ambition. Our members are dedicated to excelling academically, engaging in campus life, and making a positive impact in the community. We lift each other up, celebrate one another’s wins, and stand together through challenges. Whether we’re volunteering, taking on new leadership roles, or simply spending time together, our sisterhood is rooted in authenticity, kindness, and a shared desire to grow into the best versions of ourselves.

Some of my favourite memories have been with these incredible women: laughing until we cry, road-tripping to sisterhood retreats, and being there for each other through everything from exams to life’s bigger moments. They’ve taught me what it means to cherish friendship, and to study the perfecting of those friendships, which is my favourite line from our Purpose.

I’ve grown so much since joining Alpha Gam. These women have helped me find my voice, encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, and made campus feel like home. I’ll never forget when a recent alum, who was there when I first joined, recently said, “We were just talking about how much you’ve come out of your shell since you joined. We’re so proud of you.” That moment has stuck with me as a reminder of how far I’ve come, and just how much this chapter has helped me grow.
