The Vancouver Alumnae Chapter connects, empowers, and celebrates the 1200+ graduate members of Delta Zeta Chapter and over 150 Alpha Gams from other chapters across North America who live in British Columbia.
The best part of being an alumna is the fun we have together! This is truly a network like no other. From personal to professional support, advice and inspiration, this intergenerational group of amazing women spans countless academic and career disciplines and interests. The lifelong friendships formed in collegiate years are just the beginning – many of our alumnae meet their closest friends after graduation! Whether it’s connecting you to your next job or giving seasoned advice to a new mother, Alpha Gams are there for every stage of life.
Alumnae Chapter members benefit from being part of a vibrant global community, with in-person and virtual events for you to stay connected with sisters and expand your network. The Vancouver Junior Circle is our young alumnae group, which holds social events monthly. To connect, please send us your email address and follow us on social media.
Alumnae are invested in the success of our Delta Zeta chapter at UBC, and provide support in many ways:
• dedicated scholarships for UBC students
• connecting one-on-one with undergraduate members through our Pearl Sisters program
• hosting Career Nights in Law, Business, Health, Science, Engineering, Arts, Education and more
• providing support for Recruitment in September
• special leadership events and joint activities with the collegiate chapter’s new members
• delivering care packages for each collegiate member before final exams
• providing seniors’ gifts to graduates and awards to collegiate members at International Reunion Day
• sending New Member of the Year award recipients to International Convention
Many alumnae also give back by serving as advisors to the leaders of our collegiate chapter and UBC collegiate and alumnae Panhellenic associations, or being involved in other aspects of Alpha Gamma Delta as an international organization.
“Our sorority is one of the most powerful vehicles with which we can invest in both current and future generations of women and support them in fulfilling their potential to live thoughtful, intentional, heart-forward, and service-oriented lives, while simultaneously inspiring them to seek out and realize all of their individual and collective dreams, whatever those might be.”
– Klazina van den Berg (DZ’06), Alpha Gamma Delta International Vice President
We acknowledge that UBC’s main campus is situated within the ancestral and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.
